What if you are the one you have been looking for?

What if you are the one you have been looking for

Have you realized your own magnificence yet?

Calm, loving, caring but also temperamental, sensitive and introverted — These are some of the beliefs that I sometimes hold for myself and what others may hold for me.

But from the essence of my being that’s not who I really am. When all the beliefs are left out what is there left?

Over the last five years I’ve been lucky enough to come across something that has gently, but completely shaken my world. I’ve come across something that I can call to my truth. Because of this the way I see the world, the way I see others and the way I see myself has changed.

Some of these beliefs that I have hold for myself have been recognized for what they are — beliefs — and have been fallen away. And what is left is a deeper understanding of belonging to something greater than myself — Understanding more of my true nature.

This understanding has made me to see that I already have what I have always been looking for. The source for what I have been ultimately looking for is within me.

You are the one you have been looking for.

The things that we tell for ourselves we want and need

If you are at all like I used to be (and sometimes still am) you want that perfect job, perfect love, a loving partner, more time for yourself, enough wealth, beautiful holidays, family and friends who care about you and understand you.

But is that the source of our wellbeing and happiness?

There are so many examples in the world of people who “have it all” — And yet, they are miserable.

What is that thing you hold as an excuse for not allowing yourself to be happy in this moment? You know, that one thing you need and when you get it you will be happy.

— However that’s not the source of your happiness.

What we are ultimately looking for

What I believe that we are all ultimately looking for is love and happiness — Our true self.

And when we don’t recognize what is the source of that love and happiness we do our best to get what we want in ways that make sense for us to do in the moment. However when we look for these qualities outside of ourselves there will always be that next thing we need after we finally get what we want.

What you are really looking for is you — But we don’t know this until we learn to see who we truly are.

Who we are from the essence of our being

Sydney Banks used the term Universal Mind to describe the all energy behind life. The source where all our ideas, creativity, inspiration, common sense, insights, wisdom, love, happiness and wellbeing come from.

Have you noticed your own resourcefulness yet?

Here you are, and you have overcome all the hardships you have ever experienced in your life to be able to be here in this moment.

My words can never make justice for who we are from the essence of our being, but I hope you can get a feel of that beyond my words. You are the magnificence behind life and the source of that love and wellbeing you are looking for. What is left when we take away our beliefs and personal thinking? — The universal energy behind life.

That is who you truly are.

Coming home to yourself

When we have a glimpse of who we are from the essence of our being, and recognize that the love and happiness we look for comes from within us, the game changes.

Regardless of your beliefs, what you tell for yourself and what other people tell you (that’s only their beliefs too) — You are magnificent.

You are part of the whole and the whole at the same time, having your experience of life through your personal thinking. Your true self is that love and happiness you have been looking for and when your mind quiets down just enough you’ll be able to feel that.

When your mind quiets down, so that instead of hearing your old beliefs and the noise of your thoughts, you are able able to hear beyond your personal thinking and hear what is more true.

That is when you have come home, when you come home to your self. That is when you can see that what you have been really looking for is you.

With love,
Heidi
